Monster’s Dream is a multi-layered, dark narrative that challenges the hero with numerous choices. The player decides which side of the conflict to support and what role to play.
A significant emphasis is placed on the journey into the self, where demons and countless creatures lurk. Memory Eaters are capable of infiltrating this inner realm and confronting nightmares. With their presence in a person’s psyche, they can influence decisions—sometimes tipping the scales of victory in their favor or shattering alliances.
What distinguishes Monster’s Dream?
The motivations of the heroes are very important—they don't fight just to make it through another day, but to achieve extraordinary feats, such as changing the political order of nations and indirectly influencing the outcome of battles.
Lords
They are extremely important figures in the game, significantly enhancing the combat capabilities of their armies. Losing a Lord can be devastating for you.
Memory Eaters
They can enter the minds of Lords or military commanders. After defeating the nightmares lurking there, the mind’s owner becomes temporarily subordinate to the Memory Eater.
Military commanders
They will lead your troops into battle. Commanders are invaluable when it comes to waging battles or conducting sieges. You can recruit them at inns.
Fight, seize, and conquer
Lead battles and capture resources. Guide your army to victory. However, be wary—something unsettling may occur in any of your villages or castles. When night falls, powerful magic and ancient beliefs make themselves known.
